Abandoned Cart Email for Draft Orders

We've noticed that when a customer opts in for their 10% off, a draft order is created Shopify's backend. However, our abandoned cart app does not pick this up as an abandoned order, because it's a draft. Integrating some sort of follow up email that indicates to the customer an abandoned cart with their 10% off seems like an important feature to have. We've lost thousands of dollars this way.
